This is a very well designed online magazine for mountain bikers. It has streaming video on some pages and streaming video for ads too. Great concept!

I ran across this site today and just thought this is a great free tool to keep an instant track of your time on a project. It is very basic, but very useful.
These designs are some really nice work of digital illustration.

Most of us love a bargain – but the problem is finding the time to seek them out.
I usually check out a few bargain sites at the beginning of each day to take a look at what is available. For me, this involves mostly computer equipment, electronics, hardware, etc. But I have also found some other super “deals” as well.
Something I do (and you may consider too) is to make a list of the equipment you are looking for and post it near your computer. Mine has items like: external hard drives, new camcorder, and a new keyboard among others.
For example, I just picked up a nice Plantronics Bluetooth Headset for only $24.99 AND free shipping. The same item goes for approximately $65 on Best Buy – a *cool* savings of $40 – nice.
Here are a few “deal” sites that are worth looking into on a regular basis.
Deal Hack – http://www.dealhack.com/index.html
Deal Catcher – http://www.dealcatcher.com/
TechBargains - http://www.techbargains.com/
Woot – http://www.woot.com/
There is a definite “thrill” that comes when finding a good bargain that is perfect for your needs.
Here’s hoping you’ll find a few more (soon).
When you ask yourself this question on a regular basis you have a major opportunity to immediately increase your graphic design profits. Now, let’s see how this might apply to your design business.
A lot of design firms accept checks only. I know my firm did for years. However, I was surprised when a noticable percentage of people asked if they could pay via credit card or even Paypal, and these were often for significant amounts. So, we changed our systems to accomodate accepting credit cards and Paypal. Interestingly they were often paid after normal business hours so it was nice to come into the office and find an email saying funds have been received.
Another example is in your communications. Can they reach you when and how THEY want to? What about after hours? or on weekends?
So think about at least 2 ways you can make it easier for your customers to buy from you.
